 I have been working on re-drawing my DnD fictional-palaeofauna and dinosaur concepts in anticipation of collaborating with another artist in order to give them stats and lore. I have done all the drawings, and this post acts as a temporary-preview and a way of discussing further-development of these concepts for the finished version. Large-sized, pugnacious Iguanodontid, with extra-large thumb-spikes and a crested nose. 

 

 

A thumb-sized, fish-shaped kind of shoaling marine-shrimp. Based loosely on outdated portrayals of Nectocaris. Edible, a potential food-source. 

 

 

An inhabitant of the Spelljammer setting. A dirigible-Ankylosaur that floats in space, propelling itself by farting. 

 

 

A fair-sized Abelisaur that in addition to being a hunter, has a cranial horn that can be used offensively. This horn also has value as a trophy and for apothecary uses. 

 

 

A carnivorous Elaphrosaur that is bigger than a man and hunts smaller vertebrates as well as consuming fruit and wood-fungus. Can kill a human-sized-or-smaller player in a fight. 

 

 

A dog-sized stem-Iguanodontian with obvious protofeathers. A potential familiar or animal companion, can fight in a pinch.

 

 

A stem-Theropod with raptorial mantis-style arms. An opponent or potential companion. 

 

 

A running Noasaurid hunter, equipped with large protruding teeth, to make heavy wounds in prey as large or larger than itself. 

 

 

A rooster-sized, domesticated Elaphrosaur commonly kept for meat and eggs. A fair fighter but the toe-claw is usually docked in farm-settings. 

 

 

A fair-sized primitive Ceratopsian that can attack with horns or by biting. Could potentially be tamed as a companion. 

 

 

A carnivorous/omnivorous Ornithischian that can best humanoid races in a fight, twice as large as a man.

 

 

Swift footed emu-sized Elaphrosaur that also has a pygostyle bearing defensive spurs. 

 

 

A mid-sized Ceratosaur that can rear back onto its tail and kick like a kangaroo, using its spurs to savage effect. 

 

 

A golem that has been crafted over decades out of Stromatolithic growth. 

 

 

A Deinocheirid that bears a motile heap of aggressive, symbiotic plant-growth adhering to its back-hump. 

 

 

A hen-sized flighted Dromaeosaur that has a potent venomous bite. 

 

 

A foot-long venomous Remipede that can attack in marine and estuary settings. 

 

 

A fast-running predatory Coelurosaur the size of a man. Potential opponent or animal companion. 

 

 

A small, swift and intelligent relative of Mononykus, a potential companion.

 

 

A magically-engineered Chimera of Tyrannosaurus and Triceratops. 

 

 

A gangly, slender Sauropod that inhabits areas dominated by hostile fungal growth, domesticated by Myconids.
