After ill-advisedly deleting some of my old project-websites as a sort of spring-cleaning a few months ago, I promised to re-post them here. So here we are.
 
I am posting below all of the portraits of different cryptids I did for my Cryptozoologicon responses project. The text always felt superfluous so I will only do small captions now.

The Kappa, shown here as a sparse-furred, aquatic kind of Macaque.

Father of All the Turtles, portrayed as an enormous pelagic Protostegid Turtle.

Ahuizotl, here portrayed as a leopard-sized semi-aquatic Opossum.

Iraq Anfish, shown here as a species of Perch that is notable for a coating of fleshy filaments.

The Southern Narwhal, portrayed as a tusked Monodontid Whale.

Auli or Water-Calf, portrayed here as a freshwater kind of Protosirenidae.

Bis-Cobra, portrayed here as a venom-spitting relative of Monitor-Lizards.

Canadian Black Alligator, portrayed as a huge Mudpuppy.

The Boobrie, shown here as a large relative of the Auk.

The Himalayan Crocodile-Serpent, portrayed here as a gigantic Anguid lizard.

The Crowing-Crested Cobra, portrayed as a giant relative of the Black Mamba.

Das-Adder, shown here as a rather unusual sort of Legless Lizard.

The Mongolian Death Worm, portrayed here as an Amphisbaenian.

The Dover Demon, presented as a semi-aquatic, giant Prosimian.

The Drop Bear, as a large, short-tailed Marsupial Lion.

Earth Hound, portrayed as a badger-like kind of Mustelid.

The Emela-ntouka, portrayed as an independent lineage of Embrithopod.

The Living Fire-hose, here portrayed as a giant, glowing Nemertean Worm.

Living Fire-hose-eater, portrayed as a colossal Jellyfish.

Welsh Flying Serpent, portrayed as an elongated kind of Pheasant.

J'ba fofi, shown here as a kind of giant Land Crab resembling an enormous spider.

Chinese Giant White Toad, portrayed as an Anuran specialized for huge size.

Gowrow, portrayed as a huge Helodermatid Lizard.

Gunni, portrayed as a small, horned Diprotodontid.

New Guinea Furred Lizard, portrayed as a relative of the Platypus.

Hairy Snake, portrayed as a kind of elongate Weasel.

Hippoturtleox, portrayed as a specialized lineage of Bovid.

Isonade, here shown as a Nurse Shark relative.

Jackalope, portrayed as a species of tiny Prongbuck.

Jersey Devil, portrayed here as a giant kind of Requiem Bat.

Lusca, portrayed as a giant Cirrate Octopod.

Makalala, portrayed as an enormous Secretary Bird.

Merfolk, portrayed as a kind of Cercopithecid monkey.

Mokele-mbembe, here portrayed as a colossal Monitor Lizard.

Montauk Monster, here shown as a specialized semi-aquatic Procyonid.

Sachamama, portrayed as a huge Side-necked Turtle.

Super Eel, portrayed as an enormous filter-feeding Conger-eel.

Sheepsquatch, here portrayed as a giant relative of Ceratogaulus.

Sky-Beast, here shown as a giant, lighter-than-air Ctenophore Jelly.

Snark Sea Serpent, shown as a giant relative of the Frilled Shark.

Succarath, shown here as a kind of Ground Sloth.

Sukotyro, portrayed here as a kind of Rhino related to Chilotherium.

The Super-giant Squid of Heuvelmans.

A speculative squid with such huge suckers that would fit some anecdotal reports of enormous sucker-scars on whales.

The American Thunderbird, shown here as an enormous, raptorial relative of Old-World Vultures.

The Timor Ground Shark, an enormous Wobbegong.

The Bornean Two-tongued beast, here shown as an enormous terrestrial Loris.

The Tygomelia, shown here as a Protoceratid.

The Waheela, shown here as a huge relative of the Dire Wolf.

The Congolese Water-Elephant, shown here as a tusk-less relative of Phiomia.

The Wild Haggis, shown here as a spineless, rather delicious variety of Scottish Hedgehog.

The Yellowbelly Sea Serpent, shown here as an odd, pelagic relative of Stingrays.
